Something

Rage

All open-mouthed howl

All outward propulsion

All breath and pulse

All untempered cleanse

None of anger's smoldering

corrosive gnaw,

stoppered tension,

weary grind.

You're Welcome

As in the appropriate response to, "Thank you."

You. Are. Welcome.

Here is space for you and your particulars.

Make yourself at home.

Metamorphosis

It is helping me to remember natural laws right now. Our universe is a closed system where material cannot ultimately be destroyed or created, only transformed.

Having helped usher in an era of intense change on the planet, my faith in nature's regenerative powers is central to my resiliency as a person and my capacity to find a measure of peace.

Because, while I grieve that humanity took a brilliant set up --biodiversity, beauty, and interconnections galore-- and flushed it down the toilet, I am not fundamentally attached to the survival of our species no matter how marvelous we can be (and we can be quite marvelous as Samuel Fosso reminds us).

I am perfectly happy to be recycled and serve the whole in another form, wondrous and unfathomable, when the world sees fit to transform me once again.

And, until then, there is a large part of me that just wants to feel good. Which brings me over a tenuous bridge to a show I just binge watched and loved:

Breathe

Really loving perspective when it comes to this time in my life. And then there are these two for contrast.

Life In A Nutshell

James Parker's odes are predictably great.

More than great.

They are in fact sublime.
