I have long admired Dr. Abraham Verghese as both a physician and a writer. His work in both fields is informed by a deep curiosity and respect for others.
His latest novel follows a family through multiple generations in Kerala, India. I am a sucker for beautifully written family epics.
Covenant of Water swept me away.
