Miscarriages have been coming up all over my radar lately-- in this photo essay, in walks with friends, as voices join an emerging chorus in the mainstream media...
Given how often pregnancies end in miscarriage, I marvel at the degree to which experimentation is woven into the very fabric of human reproduction. In ways both subtle and profound, a confluence of body and spirit gauges and probes, conceives and reverses, following its own wisdom which in turn reflects the wisdom of the universe as a whole.
And women, as vessels for the process, bear intimate witness to this hormone-driven unfolding. Women hold this. Women carry this.
What a wonder. What a slow reveal. What a commonplace lunacy. What a tectonic, personal subduction.
