Zug has been playing with greeting card ideas lately. She took these pictures with her phone to show me what she's been up to, so the image quality isn't there, BUT I went ape when I saw them anyways! I feel utterly blessed to have such an amazing artist in my life.

Looking at these makes me think of Spain, and digging my hands into soil, and folk traditions, and sunshine on my face, and alpine zones, and Annie's garden. In other words, they simply make me happy. I want Abby to make 498,736,322 more and send them all to me so I can wallpaper my life with them.

It's The Year Of The Dragon...

I wish I was on the streets of Chinatown in New York City or San Francisco today, welcoming in the New Year amidst swirling parades and firecrackers.

I miss all the hubbub and pageantry of festivity spilled into public space.


Time to clean house, look for red envelopes heralding prosperity in the the seasons to come, and usher in the Year of the Dragon.

Praise Be To Sam

First, my brother introduced me to Aloe Blacc and Marion Black. Now I want to listen to them forever. Until I die. Really.

Then my brother told me my life lacked a consuming addiction to the new Masterpiece Theater production, Downton Abbey. He was right.

The take home point here (clearly) is that my brother is in possession of some crazy good taste. The proof, as they say, is in the pudding.
